The Bavarian Alps near Garmisch Germany. 1995.
11x14 Pigment Print on Rag paper
My friend Alexis Gerard and I were invited to speak at the FOGRA Conference in Munich during the winter of 1995. The conference went very well, but I was anxious to see the Alps to the south. Our host Michael Has volunteered to take us up to the mountains. We had a fine day amid the farmlands of southern Germany and the ski towns of the northern Alps. The ski lifts provided easy access to some elevation and immersion into the rocky spires.
I remember opening the 140mb scan on my PowerBook 540c with 32mb of RAM. It took 20 minutes to offload the files, and another 20 to open it in Photoshop. Nice reassurance, but only in the car on the way back.
We're offering an 11x14 inch print, matted to 16x20 and ready to frame for $195, framed for an additional $75. This print at this price is offered through February 28. We'll be taking orders until then, and shipping them out by March 15th.
About the Program
Each month we offer a signed, original print, at a special price. This is a great opportunity to own a very affordable fine-art photograph. Orders are taken for a 30-day period, then printed and shipped within two weeks after the close. When it's over, it's over, these prints won't be available again at this price.
