Stephen Johnson Tutorials: Color Management

Color Management

An exploration of Color Management in theory and practice is avaialble as a free download from my 2006 book Stephen Johnson on Digital Photography. This chapter is designed to get you comfortable with the concepts and architecture of color management and build practical methods for using profiles for display and in printing. Monitor calibration and print profiles are explained.

Although the process has been recently complicated by Apple's 10.6 operating system and Adobe Photoshop CS5, the principles remain the same.
